If your incident is an emergency, call 9-1-1. If non-emergency call 413-259-3000.

What if this happened in another town or city? Can I file a report using this online police citizen reporting system?
No. If a crime took place outside of the Town of Amherst, please call the police department for that city or town.

What if a crime happened on the campuses of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst College or Hampshire College? Can I file a report using this on-line police citizen reporting system?
No. If a crime took place on the campuses, you must report it to the respective campus police department. Links to their police departments are:

What is a known suspect?
A person is a "known suspect" when you or someone else knows the identity or location of the person(s) who committed the crime or the license plate number of the vehicle the suspect(s) were in.
