Kelly Turner
Kelly Turner is a clinical social work intern at CRESS, she will be working with community members who may need case management, counseling, and referrals to social services. Kelly’s philosophy is to promote holistic health of body, mind, and spirit. Social work is aligned with the mission that CRESS is developing and implementing, and Kelly shares the values of social justice and human rights with this team.
Kelly came from the Berkshires to attend college and liked it enough to stay and call Amherst home for the past 26 years. After raising a child with severe autism, she gained extensive experience with behaviors and what they are communicating, adaptations, as well as medical issues and their relation to mental health and behaviors. Kelly is a licensed massage therapist and works with disabled individuals in their homes in the community. In her free time, she enjoys reading, music, nature, wild foraging, flowers, cooking, poetry, art, dancing, witnessing the beauty in life even with all its pain, but most of all laughing.
