[ARCHIVED] TONIGHT! Unnatural Causes: is inequality making us sick? (Free Screenings)

Posted 4/13/2010

Research has demonstrated a direct link between inequality and differential health outcomes. As part of its work on Social Justice and Health Equity, The Town of Amherst and the Town of Amherst Department of Human Rights/Human Resources is extending a special invitation to Amherst Residents and all interested people to attend free screenings and discussions of the acclaimed PBS special: UNNATURAL CAUSES: is Inequality making us sick?

The film crisscrosses the nation uncovering startling new findings that suggest there is much more to our health than bad habits, health care, or unlucky genes. The social circumstances in which we are born, live, and work can actually get under our skin and disrupt our physiology as much as germs and viruses.
