The Town of Amherst will hold a public hearing to:
1. Discuss and receive comments on the Town’s Community Development Block Grant Activities including the 2006 Mini-Entitlement Program, the 2007 Community Development Fund Program, the Town’s 2007 HDSP Program and the Town’s FY 08 Mini-Entitlement Program.
2. Request input regarding reallocation of funding from the Town’s FY 08 Mini-Entitlement Program pending approval from the Mass. Architectural Access Board of a variance waiving requirements for constructing an accessible entrance to the main (east) entrance of the North Amherst School, 1200 North Pleasant St. The Town estimates that approximately $140,000 will be available for CDBG eligible activities.
The Hearing will be held September 17, 2008, 6:30 in Room 101 of the Bangs Community Center.
Any person or organization wishing to be heard will be afforded an opportunity. Reasonable accommodations will be attempted upon written request to the Selectmen’s office two weeks prior to the meeting.
