The Amherst Planning Board has completed its review and updating of the draft Master Plan and the accompanying Land Use Policy Map. The Planning Board invites written or emailed public comment on the resulting draft Plan. Copies of the draft Plan are available for review at the Amherst Planning Department in Town Hall, and at the Jones Library, North Amherst Library and Munson Memorial Building in South Amherst.
As part of their regularly scheduled meeting, the Planning Board will hold a public forum on the draft Master Plan on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 beginning at 7:05 p.m. in the Town Room, Amherst Town Hall. All Amherst citizens are invited. Following the forum, the Planning Board will make any necessary changes, and then adopt the Amherst Master Plan at a subsequent meeting.
An electronic version of the draft Plan and Map can be viewed on the Town of Amherst website at the link below. A public comment form is available at that page.
Public comments on the draft Master Plan should be submitted on the webpage, or in writing and can be mailed or delivered to: Amherst Planning Department, Town Hall, 4 Boltwood Avenue, Amherst, MA, 01002, or emailed to planning@amherstma.gov.
