[ARCHIVED] Amherst Half Marathon & 5K This Sunday

Amherst Half Marathon News

The Amherst Half Marathon & 5K to benefit the Amherst Survival Center will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019.

Please be aware of heavy runner traffic and potential traffic delays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. along the race route. The southbound lanes of N. Pleasant Street, E. Pleasant Street, S. Pleasant Street from Massachusetts Avenue to Snell Street will be closed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. 

The race route map is attached here. All streets directly on the route or intersecting with the route will be impacted. Please seek alternative routes during this time if at all possible. If you must drive on the route, please use extreme caution as nearly 1000 athletes will be running on the roads. Police and volunteers will assist athletes and residents at intersections.

The race producers, the Hartford Marathon Foundation is working closely with the Town of Amherst and community in planning this exciting and positive event. The Amherst Survival Center is again the race beneficiary, with a portion of entry fees being donated to support their community works.
