There will be an Open Meeting of the Residents on the proposed Studio Apartment Supportive Housing at 132 Northampton Road on Monday, June 24th at 6:30 p.m. in the Bangs Community Center.
The purpose of the meeting is for the Town Council to hear from the public on funding recommended by the Community Preservation Act Committee and also to hear general observations, questions, or comments on other elements of the proposed project.
The meeting will include brief presentations by the Community Preservation Act Committee, Amherst Affordable Housing Trust, Valley Community Development Corporation (the developer of the project), abutters and neighbors. There will be ample time for residents and others to comment. Comments will be limited to 3 minutes. If questions arise that are able to be answered during the meeting, the Town Council President will recognize the person(s) who will respond. All questions will be recorded and, to the extent possible, answers will be provided on the Town’s website within a week.

No action by the Town Council is expected to be taken that night. The meeting will be recorded by Amherst Media. This Open Meeting of the Residents is called in accordance with Section 8.1 of the Town Charter.
