[ARCHIVED] Amherst Officer Martins Graduates Police Academy

Chief Scott P. Livingstone is pleased to announce that Patrol Officer Tyler L. Martins graduated from the Western Massachusetts Regional Police Academy, in Springfield, Massachusetts on April 12, 2019.  Mr. Martins has begun his twelve week field officer training program.  

Tyler L. Martins, 24, is the son of Francisco C. and Maria J. Martins of Ludlow, MA.  He is a 2013 graduate of Ludlow High School in Ludlow, MA.  In May 2017, Officer Martins graduated from the Westfield State University, Westfield, MA, earning his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in political science and history.

He was previously employed as a Special Police Officer for the Town of Ludlow Police Department.  Officer Martins resides in Ludlow, Massachusetts.
