[ARCHIVED] AMHERST OFFICER GRADUATES FROM POLICE ACADEMY

Chief Scott P. Livingstone is pleased to announce that Patrol Officer Adam W. Metzger graduated from the Western Massachusetts Regional Police Academy, in Springfield, Massachusetts on August 3, 2018. Mr. Metzger has begun his twelve week field officer training program.

Adam W. Metzger, 27, is the son of Ann McGrath Metzger of Florence, MA. He is a 2009 graduate of Northampton High School in Northampton, MA. Officer Metzger enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2015 and graduated with the 795th Military Police Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri on July 24, 2016. He was selected as the Company’s Distinguished Honor Graduate, earning the Army Achievement Medal. Mr. Metzger is currently assigned to the Massachusetts Army National Guard’s 747th MP Company, in Ware, MA. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Worcester State University, Worcester, MA. Mr. Metzger resides in Florence, MA.
