Sponsored by LSSE, the production will benefit youth performing arts scholarships, to make the rich and valuable experience of musical theater more accessible to more youth in the area.
Many well- known performers from the community will be lending their talents to this production: Ted Blaisdell will be playing Oliver (Daddy Warbucks), Heather Williams is playing Grace Farrell, Becca Greene-Van Horn is Miss Hannigan, Bill Miller is Rooster and Kate Nicolaou is Lily St. Regis. Sarah Van Horn is Annie and the Orphans are played by Sonai Donnell, Tal Schmerling, Emma Nicolaou, Delaney Lynch, Samantha Van Horn, Trudie Seterdahl, Ava Mendelsohn, and Lucy Fitch. They are joined by a very talented ensemble: Kate Green, Steven Williams, Chloe Castro-Santos, Madeleine Fordham, Doug Eveleigh, and Faolain Bobersky. The music director is accomplished pianist and tenor, Benjiman Durfee, who is also playing Bert Healy. The director/choreographer is Becca Greene-Van Horn, former professional actress, director of Youth on Broadway and head of the LSSE Drama Program.
This abbreviated version of ANNIE is fast moving, family friendly and great fun. Tomorrow, Hard Knock Life, Maybe, Little Girls, Easy Street, and many other of your favorite songs from the show will be included in this performance. Performances include a 3 PM matinee to accommodate families and an evening show at 7 PM. There will also be an opportunity for audience members to sing along with the cast at certain points in the show. Tickets go on sale May 27.
