[ARCHIVED] Larkspur Drive Closed to Vehicular Traffic

LARKSPUR DRIVE
CLOSED TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
MONDAY September 22nd, 2014
Sanitary sewer installation work will begin on Larkspur Drive (between Wildflower Drive and
the cul-de-sac) on Monday September 22nd, 2014. The proposed hours of construction are from
7am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Construction will require the complete closure of the road.
All vehicles must exit Larkspur Drive (cul-de-sac end) before 7 am.
If you cannot leave before 7 am please make arrangements to park out on Wildflower
Drive the previous night.
Once the contractor has started excavation there will be no safe way to allow vehicles to
pass.
According to the schedule the contractor has anticipated that the installation will take 8 ten hour
days. The construction crew typically works Monday through Thursday from 7am to 5pm
although unanticipated problems often necessitate later working hours. If there is a rain day
which cancels construction between Monday and Thursday the contractor might work on a
Friday. Construction on Larkspur Dr will take a full two weeks during which the parking
arrangements should continue until they have progressed well past your driveway.
If anyone has sprinkler heads, invisible pet fences, etc inside the Town Right of way please
clearly mark the location of them. The contractor is not responsible for damage to these systems
but will try to avoid them if they are marked.
For questions or additional information concerning the project please contact the Amherst
Department of Public Works at 413-259-3050 or at publicworks@amherstma.gov
