NEW! You can now verify your voter registration AND request a mail-in ballot online. Please visit www.mailmyballotma.com. Only registered voters will be able to use this tool.

Voting by mail is available to all registered voters in Massachusetts for all elections in 2020. You do not need an excuse to vote by mail this year. Ballot return envelopes are postage paid and pre-addressed to the Town Clerk’s Office.

Vote-By-Mail Applications can be mailed, e-mailed or faxed. E-mailed requests may be sent to vote@amherstma.gov; and faxed requests sent to (413) 259-2499. Applications signed with a mouse, stylus, or finger are acceptable; typed signatures are not.

You can track your ballot

If a voter wants to deliver their ballot directly to Town Hall, there is a new drop box dedicated solely for this purpose by the Main Street entrance of Town Hall

For the State Election - Ballots mailed from inside the country must be postmarked by November 3rd and arrive by November 6th in order to be counted. If you mail your ballot from outside the country, it has until November 13th to arrive, but it must still be postmarked by Election Day.
