The Amherst Human Service Network was established to provide an opportunity for service providers, schools, local government, legislators and community members to respond to ongoing and emerging needs and priorities in the Amherst community. Through monthly meetings and an e-mail list serve, participants are provided with ongoing opportunities to work collaboratively and share information about available services and programming.
Monthly meetings are held the first Thursday of the month from 9:00-10:00 in the Bangs Community Center, September through June. These meetings are open and welcome everyone.
Resident Assistance Program
The Resident Assistance Program helps income eligible Amherst residents connect with local agencies for counseling and support in financial management. The program helps sustain housing by providing funds that will assist with rental arrears and utility bills.
