The Amherst Health Department offers a variety of clinics throughout the year.
Immunization Clinics Immunization clinics are scheduled monthly and accessible by appointment. We provide immunizations to children, adolescents and adults with no health insurance free of charge. This is only for urgent use allowing students to attend school and give time to families to obtain health insurance and choose a health care provider.
Immunization clinics are held every second Wednesday of the month 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Immunization Clinics are open to children and adults from Amherst; especially those who do not have access to a health care provider, or who are uninsured or under-insured.
Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
If you have an immunization record, please bring it to your appointment.
Nurses will administer the immunizations and are available for questions.
Flu Clinics Seasonal Flu Clinics are scheduled during the fall for Amherst residents with no health insurance. We are no longer able to provide flu shots to people who have health insurance, including MassHealth.
Travel immunizations are available at UMass Health Services (413-577-5101) and Baystate Medical Center (413-794-7015).
